We Have Lost a Great Friend

In Memory of

Kendal Jack Jones

April 2, 1952 - September 13, 2006

As many of you know, Kendal Jones, our business partner and friend passed away last week in a motorcycle accident. Ken was a leader and innovator in the area in technology locally, and was the first to launch Internet access in the area. For years before launching his ISP business, he ran a Bulletin Board System (BBS) called The Omega Line BBS. During those days he was known as "Sysop," which was the moniker given to a BBS system operator. Ken had a unique character that made him enjoyable to be around and an accepting style that made it easy to be his friend. Even before we founded Network Omega, we worked together on many projects over the years. But even though he was creative and skilled with technology, it's him as a friend that I will miss the most.

Our hearts and prayers are with his wonderful family--they have suffered a deep loss. I can't imagine what they must be going through. I personally feel a great sadness having been friends with Ken for many years. At the same time, the fond memories of our time spent together always bring a smile to my face, even through the sadness of his loss. He will be sorely missed by myself and many, many others. I can't say enough good things about him.

Please take the time to read various comments about Ken on these websites.
